How it works

Open a matter
From any matter record in Odoo, click the Dictation Jobs button or drag an audio file straight onto the matter.
Upload audio
Attach a DS2, MP3, WAV, or M4A file. Select the document type — letter, attendance note, advice, statement, and more.
LexDictate transcribes
The job is sent to LexDictate. AI transcribes and formats the audio into a polished document with your firm's branding.
Document filed
The DOCX and PDF are attached to the matter automatically. A suggested time entry is created based on the audio duration.

Native Odoo module
Installs like any Odoo add-on — no external apps, no browser extensions, no special desktop software. It just appears inside your existing Odoo instance.
Documents filed automatically
The finished Word and PDF are attached directly to the matter record the moment LexDictate completes — no copying, no downloading, no manual filing.
Time entries from audio
Audio duration is converted into 6-minute billing units automatically. A draft time entry is created and linked to the matter — ready to review and post.
All document types
Letters, attendance notes, advice notes, statements, internal memos, email drafts — select the type before submitting and LexDictate formats accordingly.
UK GDPR compliant
Raw audio is flagged for deletion after a configurable retention period (30 days by default). The transcript and formatted documents are kept as the record copy.
DS2, MP3, WAV, M4A
Upload from an Olympus DS2 recorder, a smartphone voice memo, or any standard dictation device. The same formats LexDictate supports, now accessible from Odoo.
